We have great news about our live event at Third Eye Collective!

Springfield-area artist Herbie Littlecreek will be doing a live graffiti demonstration. Come see his work, and if you're in western Massachusetts, check out more at Kushmens Gallery in Chicopee.

In addition, locally famous Polish chef Andrzej Mikijaniec has generously agreed to provide food for the event. I can personally attest that the pierogis are not to be missed. If you haven't already, pay a visit to his food truck on Putney Road in Brattleboro.

We hope to see you on the 18th!

2nd ONE STEP BEYOND BRANCH OFFICE SERIES concert with Chris Bakriges

12/24/2020

Our second concert is being recorded with an audience of 5 at The Anchor House of Artists in Northampton, MA
with Jazz musician Chris Bakriges!

Chris' intimate set will be posted New Years Eve 2020.

Chris Bakriges brings many years of performing experience to his performing Jazz Standards and original compositions.
Born in Detroit Michigan he grew up near Motown Studios where he first learned to improvise and perform Jazz and Blues.
He was influenced by McCoy Tyner and Jean Luc Ponty in those days and formed Critical Theory which fused both these
progressive voices and performed in festivals as far away as India, Pakistan, and Turkey. Bakriges was the music director for
WAMC’s “Jazz Alive” on Northeast Public Radio in the early 90’s, the only live jazz radio program broadcast in the U.S. at                    that time, and performed with the likes of Dakota Staton, Kenny Burrell, Dave Holland, David Darling, Bobby McFerrin, and
Elements featuring Danny Gottlieb and Mark Egan. He has been touring of late with his Matisse Jazz Project alongside
Grammy Award winning violinist Zach Brock, inspired by the artwork of the great 20th century colorist, and Clear and Present,
a quartet that features Jay Hoggard, Avery Sharpe or Gerald Cannon, and Billy Arnold.

Anchor House of Artists:                                          It's About Time: the John Langran Process

RARVT cofounder John Langran (of Wilmington, VT) cut his artist's teeth in the London labourite movement of the 1980s. He moved to New York in the '90s and found his way to Wilmington, VT, about a decade ago where he and his partner opened Jezebels, a pub-style restaurant.  From his studio there and makes combination, dadaist art. This show integrates the resistance theme in the form of a month-long evolving work that includes ironies of his work as an artisan labourer on upscale designer projects, snippets of his father as a soldier fighting Hitler in WWII, and elements that speak of his work as an ally in the struggle against racism.

exhibition runs 11 - 30 December 2020 - visit Anchor House website to pre-register to check out John's work
